CG- Holiday Declared: Three-Day Local Holiday Announced in Bilaspur, Order Issued for 2026

Bilaspur, September 1, 2026: In a major update for residents of Bilaspur district, the district administration has announced three local holidays for the year 2026. The order has been issued by the Collector, declaring holidays on the occasion of Har Chhath, Dussehra (Maha Ashtami) and Bhai Dooj.
As per the order, the three local holidays will be observed on September 2, October 19 and November 11, 2026, respectively.

The local holidays announced for Bilaspur district are:

The administration has clarified that these local holidays will not be applicable to banks and treasury/sub-treasury offices. These institutions will function according to their respective holiday schedules.
Examination Schedule Will Remain Unaffected
The order also specifies that the local holiday will not apply to educational institutions where examinations have already been scheduled on these dates. Such institutions may conduct examinations as per their pre-determined schedule.
The district administration has circulated the order to concerned departments and officials for information and necessary action.
With the announcement, Bilaspur district residents will get three additional local holidays during the festive season in the second half of 2026. The three local holidays are September 2, October 19 and November 11, 2026.
